Services
Conceptual Design Services
The Architect works closely with the client to determine a design program outlining the project goals and requirements for various buildings and s tructures. The design program serves as the basis for preliminary building layouts, conceptual construction estimates, and code research reports for the structures proposed. Conceptual design phase will often involve an exterior rendering of the proposed structures to give board members and local governmental authorities an overall view of the proposed design.
Estimating
The Architect is responsible for the general trades portions of construction estimates performed during several stages during the design process. Accuracy of cost estimates is based on the level of design completed on a project, and Chemstress has estimating experience on a full range of multi-discipline projects including “grass roots” and plant relocations.
Detail Design
The Architect is responsible for design development of the approved design basis formulated in the conceptual design phase. Chemstress has experience with both traditional and design/build design environments serving a wide variety of multi-discipline projects. Chemstress designs to the local or state building and fire codes and national design standards such as NFPA®* and OSHA®.
Construction Support
The Architect assists the client in presenting the project to the local and state authorities governing zoning and building permitting. Chemstress also represents the client for project bid meetings, bid evaluations, alternate material evaluation, construction inspections, and punch list preparation.
